“Smile your big beautiful smile, the one I love so much!” Marcus told Mia when we were taking portraits. And boy did she smile! In fact everyone smiled a lot this beautiful summer day. First there were smiles of anticipation while climbing the stairs at Stockholm City Hall. Then there were smiles of joy when the Mr & Mrs said “ja” to each other. Then there were some surprised smiles from strangers on a bus. And finally there were smiles of happiness and warmth when all of their friends and family gathered in Långbro Park. Such a lovely day!
My old website was crashing on mobile devices all the time, and I did not bother to blog new pictures that often. I thought “let’s do that later when things are sorted out”, and now I have this HUGE backlog to go through. However daunting the task may be, it really is nice to travel back in time with the help of photos. Especially when you find those amazing gems hidden on hard drives here and there. What I remember most from this family shoot with Cecilia and Carl (+1 in progress) is the outstanding sunset. I love sunsets. Sunsets are a like a drug to me.
I can’t wait! Here is a sneak peek from yesterdays photo shoot in Hagaparken. Me and my favorite florist Viktoria from Melody Flowers wanted to create a romantic style shoot with a touch of midsummers eve, and oh, how good it turned out! As you can see the evening light was fantastic and our lovely couple Jeanette & Markus looked so gorgeous! I’m really looking forward to show you the rest of the images. Stay tuned!
I might have been somewhat nervous when I met up with the Borg family in Rotvik, Tyresö. Recent news told the story of a beaver attacking a photographer in the area. Scary stuff! However, there were no beavers in sight this lovely evening. Maybe they were scared off by all the jumping, running and shouting?
The last time I saw the baptismal font in Hammarby Church was January 6th, 1983. Yes, this is the same church as yours truly was baptised in. I can’t say I remember much, but sources say I had very little hair and mostly slept. Malte on the other hand was wide awake and curios of what was happening. He even sang along with some of the hymns!
The good thing about not having any hair in the early 80’s is that now you don’t have to be ashamed of your “trendy” haircut. Look at the beautiful baby!
